Current Situation
1) APL Denver and Wan Hai 301 are presently alongside at JCT. Both vessels are detained by the authorities pending for investigation. Wan Hai 301 will be moved to BBT and detained until further instruction from Jabatan Laut.
Contingency Plan
1) Wan Hai 301 has completed operations this morning but detained for further investigation. We shall shift the vessel tonight at 2300 hrs to BBT as a temporary location pending for further investigation process by the authorities.
2) Once WHL 301 is shifted, we will utilize the berth to bring in the vessels which are already in the anchorage.
3) APL Denver is expected to be alongside for the next few days to facilitate salvage operations, clean up and repair. Until then, only CT 2 and CT 3 are available to accommodate other vessels.
4) The oil spillage is currently under control. All the affected areas have been cordoned with booms and our appointed cleaning agents are cleaning the respective spillage areas. The cleaning process may take 48 hours or longer, subject to weather condition.
We foresee changes in berthing arrangement for all vessels regardless of their window allocations, therefore all berthing will be conducted on the first come first served basis until berth scenario returns to its normal state.
